St.
Anne's Day School offers a full array of sports throughout
the school year for students in grades 6-8: field hockey,
cross-country, soccer, lacrosse, tennis and basketball. The
program's main goal is to teach students fundamental skills
in an environment that allows students to enjoy competitive
sports.
Athletic Program Mission

St. Anne's Day School encourages all students to participate
in its interscholastic sports programs. By choosing to participate,
student-athletes demonstrate their commitment to attend practices
as well as games, and to give their maximum effort to develop
as athletes in their own chosen sport(s), as well as to develop
ethics of good sportsmanship. Coaches strive to assist the
student athletes in the development of their athletic skills,
while also serving as role models for fostering a climate
of good sportsmanship, fair play and a sense of community.
The goal of the program is not winning at any cost, but winning
as a by-product of teaching the skills of the sport, a love
of the sport, sportsmanship and fair play.
Typically
over 90% of our Middle School students participate in our
athletic program. Student athletes practice after school and
compete against area independent schools in home and away
games.
At St. Anne's, every aspect of school life coincides with
our school's mission, and the athletic program is no different.
The schools core values of kindness, honesty, respect, and
responsibility are reinforced and modeled by the coaches and
athletes during each practice and game.
